Lahore, November 07, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 27700 cusecs and Outflows 45000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 3600 cusecs and Outflows 3600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 7400 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8800 cusecs and Outflows 2000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 59000 cusecs and Outflows 53500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 42100 cusecs and Outflows 43000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 39100 cusecs and Outflows 38600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 8100 cusecs and Outflows 1600 cusecs Guddu: Inflows 37300 cusecs and Outflows 31000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 31900 cusecs and Outflows 6200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 8300 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1474.15 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.397 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1173.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 2.997 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 643.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.096 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
