Lahore, October 27, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 29300 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 3800 cusecs and Outflows 3800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 5900 cusecs and Outflows 5900 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 9700 cusecs and Outflows 1700 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 45400 cusecs and Outflows 39400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 38200 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 37600 cusecs and Outflows 37100 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 6800 cusecs and Outflows 6800 cusecs Guddu: Inflows 43400 cusecs and Outflows 34100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 35700 cusecs and Outflows 9200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 8600 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1481.85 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.725 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1182.90 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.448 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 639.30 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.028 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
