Lahore, October 24, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 30800 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 4200 cusecs and Outflows 4200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 5300 cusecs and Outflows 1300 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 13100 cusecs and Outflows 5100 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 52000 cusecs and Outflows 46000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 41900 cusecs and Outflows 38300 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 37600 cusecs and Outflows 37100 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 5300 cusecs and Outflows 5300 cusecs Guddu: Inflows 43400 cusecs and Outflows 34100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 35400 cusecs and Outflows 8400 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 8500 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1482.68 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.761 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1182.60 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.433 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.15 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.013 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
