Lahore, October 19, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 32800 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 4200 cusecs and Outflows 4200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 6000 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 11200 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 57000 cusecs and Outflows 51000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 44900 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 45100 cusecs and Outflows 44600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 5000 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 51500 cusecs and Outflows 41400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 39900 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 10200 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1483.83 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.812 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1182.50 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.427 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.038 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
