Lahore, October 16, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 36400 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 4300 cusecs and Outflows 4300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 7600 cusecs and Outflows 30000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 11700 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 57800 cusecs and Outflows 50800 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 53800 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 67300 cusecs and Outflows 57300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 3900 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 51500 cusecs and Outflows 41400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 41600 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 9100 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1484.75feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.852 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1184.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.517 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 639.60 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.032MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
