Lahore, October 13, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 39800 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 5300 cusecs and Outflows 5300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 7300 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 15900 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 78400 cusecs and Outflows 71400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 69700 cusecs and Outflows 70000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 66000 cusecs and Outflows 56200 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 11500 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 53500 cusecs and Outflows 43400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 47300 cusecs and Outflows 12700 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 9600 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1485.67feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.892 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1187.05 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.666 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.80 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.051 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
