Lahore, October 11, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 43400 cusecs and Outflows 68500 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 5800 cusecs and Outflows 5800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 6000 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 16200 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 88900 cusecs and Outflows 81400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 82300 cusecs and Outflows 70000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 63900 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 11500 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 57900 cusecs and Outflows 47600 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 47600 cusecs and Outflows 10300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 9900 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1487.53 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.974 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1189.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.778 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 641.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.055 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
