Lahore, October 05, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 51800 cusecs and Outflows 80000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 6200 cusecs and Outflows 6200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 15000 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 18400 cusecs and Outflows 3600 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 93500 cusecs and Outflows 86000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 84900 cusecs and Outflows 85000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 78400 cusecs and Outflows 65000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 13900 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 65000 cusecs and Outflows 52400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 51900 cusecs and Outflows 11000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 11800 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1493.82fee, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.257 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1196.30 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 4.177 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.40 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.045 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
