Lahore, October 04, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 52500 cusecs and Outflows 80000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 6000 cusecs and Outflows 6000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 15000 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 18900 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 101000 cusecs and Outflows 93500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 105200 cusecs and Outflows 85000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 80100 cusecs and Outflows 66400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 13600 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 66900 cusecs and Outflows 53000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 51900 cusecs and Outflows 11000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 12200 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1495.08 fee, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.314 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1197.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 4.256 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 641.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.057 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
