Lahore, August 08, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 289800 cusecs and Outflows 260800 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 48200 cusecs and Outflows 48200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 29500 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 91300 cusecs and Outflows 68200 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 297800 cusecs and Outflows 289800 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 308600 cusecs and Outflows 300100 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 353600 cusecs and Outflows 347600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 66400 cusecs and Outflows 50900 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 362400 cusecs and Outflows 329600 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 277800 cusecs and Outflows 221400 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 127100 cusecs and Outflows 87000.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1542.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.716 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1230.90 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.538 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 643.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.093 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
