Lahore, July 31, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 302200 cusecs and Outflows 274600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 48000 cusecs and Outflows 48000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 36000 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 125500 cusecs and Outflows 92800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 281600 cusecs and Outflows 273600 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 294700 cusecs and Outflows 300000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 275800 cusecs and Outflows 253500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 29700 cusecs and Outflows 15200 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 241700 cusecs and Outflows 211400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 197900 cusecs and Outflows 144100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 101300 cusecs and Outflows 65500.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1531.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.109 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1225.05 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.103 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.90 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.196 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
