Lahore, July 18, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 278900 cusecs and Outflows 202500 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 56900 cusecs and Outflows 56900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 45100 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 116900 cusecs and Outflows 83600 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 221300 cusecs and Outflows 213500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 212800 cusecs and Outflows 225000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 216300 cusecs and Outflows 194800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 22100 cusecs and Outflows 6600 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 188700 cusecs and Outflows 152500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 140200 cusecs and Outflows 87100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 62600 cusecs and Outflows 32800.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1514.37 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 4.245 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1215.95 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.449 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 643.80 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.111 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
