Lahore, June 29, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 236800 cusecs and Outflows 170000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 59300 cusecs and Outflows 59300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 50000 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 91800 cusecs and Outflows 56800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 235500 cusecs and Outflows 228200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 248700 cusecs and Outflows 219000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 215200 cusecs and Outflows 190400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 29100 cusecs and Outflows 19800 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 182200 cusecs and Outflows 147900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 129400 cusecs and Outflows 77200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 52900 cusecs and Outflows 39900.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1456.55 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.673 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1196.15 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 4.169 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 647.60 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.224 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
