Lahore, June 16, 2017 (PPI-OT):The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 148600 cusecs and Outflows 184600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 51900 cusecs and Outflows 51900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 49700 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 43700 cusecs and Outflows 11500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 226800 cusecs and Outflows 219000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 242500 cusecs and Outflows 214000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows194600 cusecs and Outflows 166600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows18600 cusecs and Outflows 3100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 160700 cusecs and Outflows 123600 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 94700 cusecs and Outflows 44100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 37900 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1446.72 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.329 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1181.80 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.391 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 647.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.200 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
