Reservations of traders to be removed: Ebad

Karachi, December 15, 2012 (PPI-OT): Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has said that law enforcement agencies (LEAs) are taking action against the criminals in Karachi without discrimination of political affiliation and influence. Talking to media persons after his meeting with a delegation of traders headed by Siraj Qasim Teli here on Friday, Dr Ishratul Ebad said that eliminating the menaces of target killing, extortion and restoring peace in the industrial hub of country is top priority of the Sindh government.

He also directed the Additional IG Sindh police to deploy 500 cops in Old City area of Karachi to remove the reservations of traders’ fraternity. Ebad was of the view that blaming provincial government for negligence in maintaining law and order situation in the province was out of context.

He said that police during separate search operations and raids across Karachi city have detained several terrorists, extortionists, criminals and notorious robbers and recovered arms and explosives from their possession. Dr Ishratul Ebad said that reservations of traders and citizens would be removed at all costs and no one would be spared in this regard.
