Islamabad, January 22, 2013 (PPI-OT): A 16 Member delegation of newly elected body of Rawalpindi District Bar Association headed by President, Mr. Israr ul Haq Malik and consisting of other office bearers called on the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary today i.e. 22.01.2013 in Supreme Court, Islamabad.
Felicitating the newly elected body his lordship said, “It is a tremendous achievement for you people as you have been given the mandate as the representatives of the bar to work for their welfare and betterment.”.
His lordship further emphasized that bench and bar are the integral part of the same system. His lordship also appreciated the unprecedented steps taken by legal fraternity for rule of law, supremacy constitution and independence of judiciary in the country.
The delegation praised his lordship’s efforts that instilled a spirit in legal fraternity to follow the path of Constitutionalism in country. They also apprised his lordship about their future planning for the betterment of bar like establishing a school for lawyers children.
Encouraging the young lawyers, his lordship informed the delegation that local commissioners to record the evidence have been appointed under National Judicial Policy with view to provide a common platform to facilitate the litigant parties to get prompt decision from the Court and the youngster Advocate to gain first hand experience of legal issues and to facilitate them financially and encourage them in the legal field.
The delegation assured full support and cooperation in process of dispensation of expeditious and inexpensive justice and to stand by the judiciary.
