Srinagar, December 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the forum patronized by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani terming rage over the Delhi gang rape incident as justified has said what remains to be seen is whether India “would fire upon the (Indian) protestors or slap them with Public Safety Act as done in occupied Kashmir.”
The forum spokesperson in a statement issued in Srinagar said that demonstration of resentment and anger against the Delhi rape incident was fully justified, “But when Kashmiri people protest against the repressive measures, the forces assassinate them and arrest them under PSA.” “In New Delhi, Rahul Gandhi, the Congress chief, Sonia Gandhi and even Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are expressing solidarity with the protesters,” he added.
The spokesman maintained that “New Delhi’s disparity towards the Kashmiris has become public. It is once again proven that Kashmiris are being taken for a ride by New Delhi time and again. People of New Delhi are being told that they are no more slaves. But when it comes to Kashmir, Indian authorities can go to any extent,” the spokesman said.
