Islamabad: Met Office predicted scattered rains over upper parts of the country from Wednesday to Saturday.
Met Office informed that a westerly wave is likely to grip upper parts of the country on Wednesday evening that would produce scattered rains accompanied by strong gusty winds for 2-3 days over there.
Under the influence of this westerly wave, scattered rain with dust-thunderstorm is expected is Islamabad, upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat divisions), Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore Divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Wednesday to Saturday. Due to this expected wet spell, the day temperatures are likely to fall 3-5°C in KPK, Punjab and Kashmir.
Met Office further informed that rice growing areas of Upper Punjab may also receive rain accompanied by strong gusty winds during the period.
