Karachi, November 06, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah today presided a meeting regarding preparation of Council of Common Interest session at C.M House.. the meeting was attended among others by Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas, Principal Secretary to CM Mr. Muhammad Siddique Memon, Secretary Inter Provincial Coordination Mr. Kaleem Lashari, Secretary Irrigation Mr. Babar Effendi, Secretary Coal and Energy Aijaz Ali Khan, Secretary Mines and Mineral Mr. Ishaque Mehar, and others.
The meeting discussed 9- point agenda which included to set up committee of the council of common interest; working-functioning of NEPRA; provincial representation in Federal entities; renaming of Minister of Professional and Technical Training; briefing on the working of Pakistan Railways, approval of National Mineral Policy 2012, and other items.
Chief Minister Sindh stressed that provincial government will fully protect the rights and demands of province at federation. He said that a lot of land was given to Railway department which belongs to Sindh province, and now much of the same is not in use, so it must be returned to Sindh Government. Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that Mines and Mineral is totally subject of provinces and Sindh government will fully implement the decisions and polices under 18th amendments of the constitution.
