Qaim Ali Shah takes notice of shortage of medicines in hospitals and terms situation of measles as very bad

Karachi, January 14, 2013 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has asked the Sindh Health Minister to visit Civil Hospital Karachi and other hospitals/dispensaries of city, and ensure the provision of medicine there. This he directed while taking notice of a news item mentioning that thousands of patients are facing hardships due to non-availability of medicines in government hospitals.

In another directives, the Chief Minister Sindh has directed Secretary Health to urgently send him report about what efforts of preventive and curative have so far been taken with regard to measles. Syed Qaim Ali Shah has termed the situation of non-control of measles disease causing huge number of causalities. He has termed the situation very bad and has directed to take prompt and effective measures for control of epidemic disease.
