Punjab University faculty member earns honour in Australia

Lahore: Punjab University College of Engineering and Emerging Technologies (CEET) Lecturer Kashif Mairaj Deen has been awarded $5000/- and a certificate on the basis of technical criteria lies on his research profile and poster paper accepted in 18th International Corrosion Congress 2011.

The conference was organized by Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) and International Corrosion Council (ICC) from November 20-24 in Perth, Australia. It is worth mentioning here that Kashif Mairaj was also announced as the most competitive Non-OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) delegate during the ceremony, which was held at the Reverside Theater in Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth, Australia.

PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated Kashif Mairaj Deen on this unique achievement and said PU was proud of him. He said it was a matter of fame and pleasure for the varsity at international level.

Expressing his views, Kashif Mairaj Deen said he was very happy when the name of his country was announced, “Kashif Mairaj Deen from Pakistan,” at a place where more than 750 delegates throughout 45 countries were present.
