Lahore: World Quality Day has been celebrated today at Punjab University, at Al-Razi Hall to talk about the achievements and raise awareness about the most updated approaches to quality systems and processes through an evaluation of their impact on human life. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran chaired the event.
Prof. Dr. Aamir Ijaz, Director Quality Enhancement Cell delivered the opening address. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran said that quality depended upon the quality of society and human behaviour. He said that honesty, expertise and all the things depended upon the spread of knowledge. He said that there was dire need to strengthen our industry, agriculture and business. He urged the rulers to allocate at least four percent of the GDP to education sector and patronize research.
He appreciated the effort and said that such events are extremely helpful in raising the quality of education system and he stressed on a never-ending quest for quality-based improvements. The collaborators of today’s event were Institute of Quality and Technology Management, Quality Enhancement Cell of Punjab University and Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization.
Among other prominent speakers were Dr. Kamran Musa of PIQC, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Ali Sajid Director IBM UET, Lahore and Engr. (R) Col. Fazlur Rehman Senior Faculty Member IQTM Punjab University. Participants from different Universities and Educational Institutions attended the event.
