Punjab Chief Minister talks to special athletes participating in Austria Olympics, gives them Rs 300,000 each financial aid

Lahore, March 10, 2017 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here today talked to special athletes Abdullah Tahir, Farrukh Ihsan and Mehwish Tufail who will depart for Austria to participate in the World Winter Olympics. He gave the athletes checks for Rs. 300,000 each and every possible financial help for their families. On the request of the mother of the special athlete, Farrukh Ihsan, the chief minister announced to give a house, while he also announced financial assistance for the mother of Mehwish Tufail.

Talking to the special athletes, CM Shehbaz Sharif said you all are representing Punjab and Pakistan in the winter Olympics and hopefully you will give wonderful performance. He said your participation in the Olympics is the matter of pride for the whole nation and hopefully you will win medals for the country.

He said special people are gifted by special talent and the Punjab government is making all-out efforts for their welfare. He said the government will give every possible facility to the special athletes and encourage them. He said the whole nation is praying for their success. Provincial minister Ch Muhammad Shafique, Jehangir Khanzada, secretary sports and concerning officials also attended the meeting.
