Srinagar, July 04, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has devised a Kashmir-wide programme for observing the Martyrs’ Day on July 13 to protest ceaseless repression, bloodshed and a well-hatched conspiracy by India to take political revenge from the helpless Kashmiris.
An APHC Spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that the Hurriyet Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq would preside over a joint meeting of executive and general councils on July 8 to give final touches to the proposed programme.
“The Hurriyet leaders will lead the protest marches from all district headquarters of Kashmir and proceed towards the Jamia Masjid Srinagar. Once the protesters will converge at Jamia Masjid, the Mirwaiz will lead them in a joint procession towards Naqashbandh Sahib Shrine soon after the Zuhr prayers.
At Naqashbandh Sahib (RA) shrine, a large gathering will be held where resolutions against military build-up and black laws leading to gross human rights violations and bloodshed of Kashmiris will be passed,” the spokesman said, adding that “Kashmiris will also appeal the UN and other International organizations to press India for the immediate resolution of the Kashmir issue.”
Meanwhile, the spokesman sternly condemned the house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other APHC leaders including, Zafar Akbar Butt and Salim Gilani.
Yasmeen Raja who visited Pulwama reiterated that it was duty of people of Kashmir and Hurriyet leadership to continue martyrs’ mission to its logical conclusion.
