Prime Minister leaves for Saudi Arabia

Islamabad, March 04, 2015 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would shortly be leaving for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the invitation of His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In his pre-departure statement the Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are brotherly countries which are tied in bonds of shared faith and values.

He said every Pakistani has a special place in his heart for the Saudi King as he is the custodian of the two holy mosques, adding that relations between the two countries have grown stronger with the passage of time. This is Prime Minister’s first visit to the Kingdom since King Salman bin Abdulaziz assumed the throne.

During his three-day visit the Prime Minister will also perform Umra and visit the roza of the holy Prophet (Peace be upon him), in addition to meeting members of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia. The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Finance Minister, Mr. Ishaq Dar; Chief Minister Punjab, Mr. Shahbaz Sharif; Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Affairs, Mr. Irfan Siddiqui and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Syed Tariq Fatemi.
