Prime Minister greets Turkmenistan president on Independence Day

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to the President of Turkmenistan Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov on their Independence Day falling on October 27, 2011.

In his message, the Prime Minister said “On behalf of the government of Pakistan and on my own behalf, I avail myself of this opportunity to extend to Your Excellency, our warmest felicitations on the auspicious occasion of 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.

Pakistan and Turkmenistan are two friendly countries. There is immense potential for developing mutually beneficial cooperation between them in various fields, investment, transit and energy.

I am confident that with our joint efforts, we would be able to tap this economic potential for the benefit of the people of our two counties.
