Karachi, May 06, 2014 (PPI-OT): President Mamnoon Hussain met with the veteran politician Mairaj Mohammad at his residence on Monday evening. The veteran politician discussed the political situation of the country especially the problems which the people of Karachi have been facing.
The President said that Law and Order and Economy are the two major stumbling blocks towards the path of prosperity. The President added that this government is determined to resolve the outstanding issues of the country and it avoids confrontation within the institutions at any level.
While expressing his views about Pak-China Corridor the President declared Pak-China Corridor a monument of the region. He told the gathering that this project will not only benefit Pakistan but all the other countries of the region would take advantage from the project also.
Mr. Hussain, while describing the way out to the solution of energy crises, told that two mega dams are under construction: Diamer Bhasha Dam will primarily be used for water storage whereas Dahsu Dam would provide bulk electricity.
On replying to a question regarding budget allocation, the President said that this government has planned ample amount of budget for education sector in the next fiscal year. He condemned the attack on senior journalist Hamid Mir and prayed for his early recuperation.
