Karachi, May 19, 2015 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the PPP always served the Karachi and completed most of the projects in Karachi and the construction were underway on other projects.
He warned the TV anchors not to attack on his personal life and avoid levelling false accusations against him otherwise he will file defamation case against them and they would face the difficulties. He advised the TV Anchors not to blame him without any proofs.
Addressing on the floor of the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday the Minister said not only in Karachi but the development is going on in whole province and most of the projects completed in eight to ten districts while remaining would be completed soon.
Sharjeel said government deputed competent officers in local bodies and they are doing best. However he said 100 per cent result could not achieve but improvement can be noticed. He said competent administrator, commissioner and deputy commissioners were posted in Hyderabad to serve the city and improvement is in progress. He said proper guidelines have been given to officers for the working and they are working on these guidelines.
The Minister said that the government is going to outsource the cleanliness work of the city and an American company is under consideration for lifting the garbage from city. He said some other companies also under consideration for this job. He said the Solid Waste Management Board would start functioning from September and plan to clean the cities and other areas.
He said water shortage is serious problem and government was trying its best to overcome the crisis with better managements and distribution. He said 1000 water tankers is being distributed in city from Monday and deputy commissioners were deputed on the demand of the opposition as incharge for the distribution.
He rejected the allegation and said that his son is the owner of Salar House in Tharparkar and it was built when he was not the minister. He said a lady opposition member criticizing him unnecessary but he did not want to reply her because she voted the PPP candidate in recent senate election.
