Policy against industrial policy to be devised after Eid: Gilani

Srinagar, June 21, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, has strongly warned the Indian authorities against execution of so-called Industrial Policy in Jammu and Kashmir. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that the disclosure made by the authorities about establishment of 545 industrial units by outsiders had testified the fact that the puppet administration was not giving any importance to Kashmiris’ protest against so-called policy.

He pointed out that pro-freedom leadership would work out a joint strategy after Eid-ul-Fitr if the reservations of the Kashmiris were not addressed over the new industrial policy. He categorically mentioned that Jammu and Kashmir would never be allowed to be converted into Palestine.

The APHC Chairman also criticized pro-India Kashmiri politicians for surrendering Kashmiris’ interests to India. Syed Ali Gilani was responding to the disclosure made by the authorities that 545 industrial units had been established by non-locals in the territory.

Meanwhile, the authorities put Hurriyet leader Pir Saifullah under house arrest and detained Muhammad Yasin Atai, Syed Imtiaz Haider and Bashir Ahmad Butt at Hamhama police station in Srinagar. Indian Army and task force arrested Tehreek-e-Hurriyet leader Shakeel Ahmad Yattu during a joint raid and shifted him to an unknown location. Syed Ali Gilani in his statement denounced the house detention and arrest of the leaders. He also condemned the continued house arrest of Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, Bilal Siddiqui and Hakeem Abdur Rasheed.

On the other hand, Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, who is under house detention for the past over two weeks in his statement said that India was imprisoning Kashmiri pro-freedom leadership in jails to hide the reality.
