Police register fake case against detained JKLF leaders

Srinagar, December 27, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have registered a fake case of attempt to murder against Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Muhammad Yasin Malik and other party leaders. The has been registered under Section 307 of Rambir Penal Code. This section is evoked to deal with an attempt to murder.

The leaders, who were detained at Kothi Bagh Police Station, were brought to a local court in Srinagar, today. The leaders were sent to Central Jail, Srinagar. Other JKLF leaders including Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdur Rasheed, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Nazir Ahmad Rathar, Bashir Ahmad Butt, Ashfaq Hussain and Muneeb Javed Rathar were among the detainees.

Muhammad Yasin Malik along with these leaders were arrested by Indian police after subjecting them to ruthless force at Lal Chowk in Srinagar during a rally against the killings by the members of Indian Army-backed terrorist militia, Village Defence Committees, in Rajouri, yesterday.
