Police asked to take steps for maintaining law and order in Kohat

Peshawar, August 21, 2013 (PPI-OT): Commissioner Kohat Division, Syed Jamal-ud-Din Shah has directed the district administration and high ups of Police of Kohat, Hangu and Karak districts to take immediate steps for maintaining law and order and eliminating criminals from their respective districts. He has asked all security agencies to make intelligence-sharing to wipe out heinous crimes like militancy, target killing, kidnapping and extortions.

He issued these directives while chairing a high level meeting regarding law and order in Kohat Division at Kohat on Tuesday. The meeting beside others was also attended by DIG Kohat Dr. Ishtiaq Marwat, DCs of Hangu and Karak, DPOs Kohat and Karak, PA Orakzai Agency and authorities concerned of the Pak Army and IB. Reports and steps so far taken against the criminals and anti-state elements also came under discussion in the meeting.

The Commissioner strictly directed the quarters concerned to initiate action against the anti-state elements and dealt such elements with iron hands. He declared that protection of lives and properties of the people was the prime responsibility of the government therefore no negligence would be tolerated in this respect.

Mr. Shah further directed to establish joint check posts for permanent peace and monitoring of the criminals stressing that all security agencies should keep close contact with each other. He specially directed the Hangu administration to utilize all its resources for ensuring peaceful holding of the 22nd August by-polls in Hangu.
