Islamabad, August 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): A four-member delegation of Plan International called on Barrister Zafarullah Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) and Minister of State for Cabinet Division at his office in Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday.
The delegation was led by Jeanine Pagel de Castellanos, representative of Plan International from Germany, and other members of the delegation included Imran Yusuf Shami, Country Programme Manager (Implementation), Sajjad Hussain, DBR Coordinator and Safdar Raza.
Barrister Zafarullah Khan welcomed the delegation. The meeting discussed the National Commission on the Rights of Children Bill. Barrister Zafarullah Khan told the delegation this Bill is being reviewed by the National Assembly Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights. He assured full support for the passage of the Bill by the Parliament.
Talking about international non-governmental organisations (INGOs), Barrister Zafarullah said that the INGOs working in Pakistan must be careful about Pakistani culture and values. At the end of the meeting, the delegation offered thanks to Barrister Zafarullah Khan.
