Karachi, February 12, 2014 (PPI-OT): A plan for providing KMC employees with latest computer training was being prepared which would improve municipal services. Computer and networking courses would be designed according to requirements of officers and employees working in various KMC departments.
Sr. Director HRM Shoaib Waqar said this while addressing an opening ceremony of 53rd Basic Computer Learning Course and 52nd Certificate Distribution Ceremony of Office Automation Course held in Computer Training Center under Information Technology Department.
On this occasion Director Training Muhammad Fakharuddin and other officers were also present. Sr. Director HRM Shoaib Waqar urged municipal employees for getting proficiency in modern technology and for making efforts to perform their responsibilities well in their selected fields.
He said that computer was playing vital role in every sector of life. KMC provides citizens with municipal services and has important municipal matters therefore its officers and employees should perform their duties in a better way so that performance of the organization could be enhanced and citizens could be provided with better facilities.
He said that trained employees of KMC should perform their responsibilities with full sincerity and dedication and prefer computer and information technology in their offices. KMC despite of financial problems was providing its employees with computer training.
He admired the performance of Director Muhammad Fakharuddin, Teacher Bilal Ahmed, Assistants Amir Raza, Abdul Aziz and other staff of Computer Center and said that more advanced courses for KMC employees would be held here.
In the end Sr. Director HRM Shoaib Waqar distributed certificates among the participants on completion of Office Automation Course and said that employees included in new batch should benefit from this training and make efforts to utilize their skills for betterment of their departments.
