Performance review meeting of Cares 1122

Islamabad, March 27, 2017 (PPI-OT): Cares 1122 of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) received 123 calls of different emergency nature during the last week. All calls were responded promptly and after providing first aid the victims of different incidents were shifted to nearest most medical facility. This was informed during a meeting held at CDA headquarters here on Monday. The meeting was chaired by the Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz while attended by senior officers of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and CDA. The meeting reviewed weekly progress of CDA Cares 1122.

Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz was informed that most of the calls received during the last week were regarding Road Traffic Accidents which were 48 in number. These calls were received from the areas of Jinnah Super Market, Faizabad, E-11/4 Service Road, Motorway Chowk, Zeropoint, Golra Chowk, Khanna Bridge, Peshawar Morr Interchange, Iqbal Town Stop, IJP Road, I-8, PSO Pump Kashmir Highway, G-10 Signal Kashmir Highway, Jinnah Avenue, Darbar Chowk G-11, Dhok Kala Khan Stop, PRC Chowk, Bera Pull Bharakahu, Police Line Signal Kashmir Highway, 7 up chowk, Ghori Town phase 7, NUST Signal Kashmir Highway, Near Sihala Police Training Centre, Near Chaman Metro Bus station, Zia Masjid, G-9 Signal Kashmir Highway, sector I-10/2, near Police Station Shahzad Town, Golra Morr Roundabout, and Faisal Avenue. Victims of road accidents were shifted PIMS, Poly Clinic, holly Family Hospital, KRL Hospital, PWD Hospital and other nearby hospitals. Some victims who faced minor injuries were provided on spot treatment.

The meeting was further informed that four (04) calls regarding injuries of different nature were also attended. These emergency calls were received from different areas of the city including near Zia Masjid, Tarlaye, National Bank Near Foreign Office and Mehra Abadi. Most of the injured people were provided on spot emergency treatment and rest of them was shifted to PIMS, Poly Clinic Hospital and other nearby medical facility.

The meeting was further told that 30 calls regarding unconscious patients were also received during the last week from different areas of the city. These calls were received from the areas including Golra Morr, street 95 of sector I-8/4, Babri Hotel Faizabad, sector I-8/3, G-13/2, I-8/1, Ghouri Town phase III, F-8/2, Golra Railway Station, France Colony F-7/4, E-11/4, Chambeli Road, street # 1 near Koral, Foreign Office Parking, Near I-9 Park, E-11 Morr Margalla Road, sector G-9/2, Saudi School H-8/2, Faisal masjid and G-11/3. The patients were shifted to PIMS, Ali Medical Hospital, CDA Hospital Poly Clinic and other nearby medical facilities.

The Mayor of Islamabad was also told that calls regarding patients suffering from heart pain, abdominal pain and other were also received during the last week. Moreover, CDA Cares 1122 also made special deployment of its vehicles at 20 different locations including Serena Hotel, Marriott Hotel, D-Chowk, Golra Darbar, Pak China Friendship and H-11 Tra on request of different departments to cope with any emergency situation.
