Srinagar, August 17, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders while condemning the ongoing spree of civilian killing in the territory have appealed to the people to register their protest against ensuring their full-fledged participation in the Quit Kashmir Movement spearheaded by Hurriyet leadership.
The Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Fresh killing spree in Kashmir reflects the impunity given by New Delhi to its forces to kill Kashmiris at their will.”
Commenting on statement of Indian, Prime Minister Narendra Modi against Pakistan, Aasiya Andrabi said, “India should focus on its own affairs and address demands of Khalistan and Maoists.” Since 1947, she said, India has been using force to deny the Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination guaranteed by United Nations to which it is a signatory.
She condemned the use of excessive force against peaceful and unarmed people of Kashmir. “These oppressive tactics would not be able to break the will of the people of Kashmir for freedom,” she said.
The illegally detained Hurriyet leaders, Zafar Akbar Butt, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Bilal Siddiqui in their statements from jail asked people to follow the protest programmes announced by the Hurriyet leadership against the killings. They said that India would have to vacate Kashmir as a result of quit Kashmir movement spearheaded by the resistance leadership.
Other Hurriyet leaders including Yasmeen Raja, Zamruda Habib, Farida Bahenji, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Mir Shahid Saleem, Mohammad Yousuf Mir, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Shabbir Ahmed Dar and Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in their statements also condemned the killing of civilian people by Indian forces’ personnel in occupied Kashmir.
