Peace in south Asia linked to Kashmir settlement: Yasmeen

Srinagar, February 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja, has said that permanent peace in South Asia is not possible without resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Yasmeen Raja addressing in Srinagar a meeting of party activists and people belonging to different walks of life deplored that Indian troops were committing gross human rights abuses in the occupied territory to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission. She said that India’s intransigent attitude towards Kashmir dispute was the main hurdle in the way of its settlement.

The APHC leader paid glowing tributes to youth, Aijaz Ahmed, who was recently killed by Indian troops in Pulwama. She said that sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs. Yasmeen Raja also thanked Pakistan for continuing its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmir cause.
