Paswan concerned about continued detention of ailing Gilani

Patna, March 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): Bihar-based Lok Jan Shakti Party leader, Ram Villas Pasvan expressing concern over the health of the veteran leader Syed Ali Gilani, has criticized Indian and its authorities in the territory for continuously keeping ailing Syed Ali Gilani under house arrest.

Paswan while addressing a rally in Patna said that India was not serious about the Kashmir dispute and “it doesn’t care about the viewpoint of the Kashmiri people.”

“Injustice was done to the family of Muhammad Afzal Guru by not allowing them to meet him before his execution. The decision to execute Afzal was totally wrong,” Paswan said adding that people of Kashmir were furious over the hanging of Afzal.

“At a time when 86-year-old Kashmiri leader, Syed Ali Gilani needs rest and doctors have advised him to have a walk in the morning and evening”, the authorities are not allowing him to venture outside his residence. “It is totally injustice,” Paswan deplored.
