People belonging to all walks of life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA have hailed the passage of 31st Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2018 by Senate and National Assembly to merge tribal areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A tribal elder and leader of Jamaat-e-Islami from Bajour Agency Sahebzada Haroon-ur-Rashid termed passage of the bill by the parliament as an historic decision. He said tribal people will now be able to enjoy all political and legal rights like the rest of Pakistanis.
President PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Humayun Khan said with the passage of the bill, the tribal areas will be brought into national mainstream.
He congratulated tribal people on the abolishment of Frontier Crimes Regulation, which was their prime demand since long.
Meanwhile, Awami National Party has arranged firework at district level throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tonight to celebrate passage of FATA Reform bill by the parliament.
