Islamabad, November 14, 2016 (PPI-OT): With its traditional handicrafts, clothes and exotic cuisine, the spectacular Pakistani Stall turned out to be a huge attraction for the visitors at the Commonwealth Fair 2016. The Stall presented a beautiful mosaic of the cultural richness and diversity of Pakistan by showcasing a variety of hand embroidered shawls, bags, cushion covers, throws, bangles, henna, caps and silk coats.

Pakistani cuisine, especially, the rice dish ‘Biryani’, with its exquisite taste, aroma and presentation, was a culinary delight for the food lovers. The Annual Commonwealth Fair was organized by Commonwealth Countries League (CCL), to raise funds for the Commonwealth Girls Education Fund (CGEF), and was held at Kensington Town Hall, London on 12 November 2016. She also presented a traditional shawl to Mrs Elizabeth Rutherford, Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, who visited the Pakistani Stall.
