Karachi, June 14, 2017 (PPI-OT):As per directives of Director General PSQCA Mr. Muhammad Khalid Saddiq, the Mobile Testing Lab Team raided at Max Bachat Supermarket, Hyderabad. On arrival the team members start checking and collected 25 different brands of various mandatory food items. The Team head by Engr. Muhammad Hassan Keerio, Dy. Director, Conformity Assessment, Hyderabad including some technical officers at Max Bachat Supermarket, Hyderabad. They have checked 25 food items on the spot out of which the following items found Fail sub-standard, the details are as under: –
1- Sharjah Brand Cooking Oil of M/s. Hi Tech Oil and Ghee Mills, Kotri
2- Sharjah Brand Banaspati of M/s. Hi Tech Oil and Ghee Mills, Kotri
3- Olivola Brand Cooking oil of M/s. PTML, Karachi.
4- Ajwa Brand Cooking Oil of M/s. Gulzar Oil Industries (Pvt.) Ltd; SITE, Kotri
5- Turmeric, Curry and Red Chilli Powders of M/s. Halwani Foods Products
On the occasion Engr. Muhammad Hassan Keerio, Dy. Director, Conformity Assessment said that we are working to consumer’s satisfaction and to prevent sub-standards products from the markets and to advise manufacturers to get licence and registered with PSQCA. He said that Director General Mr. Muhammad Khalid Siddiq ordered to continue and expand its activities and this mobile testing laboratory will be rotated in all locations of the city to control the manufacture of substandard products.
