Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Wednesday agreed to implement a new local government system in Sindh with mutual consultation in accordance with aspirations of the people.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and PPP and MQM leaders met at the Governor House.
Sindh Minister for Home Affairs Manzoor Hussain Wasan, Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro, and Sindh Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed, MQM leaders Syed Sardar Ahmed, Wasey Jaleel and Kanwer Naveed Jameel attended the meeting.
They also discussed overall political situation in the province of Sindh and other matters of significant importance.
They agreed to maintain an environment of harmony in Sindh and pursue the vision of President Asif Ali Zardari and MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
