Islamabad, March 28, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan has a strong presence in the Inter textile Beijing Apparel Fabrics trade Fair being held in Beijing from March 27-29, 2013. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) arranged participation of seven leading exporters of fabrics in the Inter Textile Fair which is being attended by 16 countries from Europe and Asia. Another 29 Pakistani textile companies have set up their stalls displaying textile related items.
A press release received here today from Beijing says on the inauguration day, Ambassador Masood Khalid, along with Commercial Counselor Riaz Ahmed Shaikh visited the exhibition and the Pakistani stalls.
The Ambassador discussed with businessmen overall business prospects in China for Pakistani textile products and specific areas of interest for exhibitors. He urged the Pakistani exporters to take full advantage of the vast market opportunities available in China and asked them to pursue a proactive marketing strategy.
The Ambassador assured them full cooperation of the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing in enhancing the export of Pakistan’s textile products to China. Last year, Pakistan exported textiles and textile articles worth US $ 2.1 billion to China.
