Pakistan Navy ship sails for red sea to undertake evacuation of stranded Pakistanis in Yemen

Karachi, March 29, 2015 (PPI-OT): Cognizant of the plight of stranded Pakistani nationals in Yemen, a Pakistan Navy frigate has sailed from Karachi this morning for the Red Sea/ Gulf of Aden to undertake evacuation operation, should such a need arise. Pakistan Navy Ship will be readily available in the Gulf of Aden, to respond to any situation according to the national requirements.

Naval forces, because of their inherent attributes of rapid mobilization, reach and endurance coupled with their sealift capability are extremely useful in the humanitarian assistance/ evacuation operations. Pakistan Navy maintains a high degree of readiness, both in peace and war, to undertake a range of military, constabulary, diplomatic and benign operations.
