Lahore, August 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF), while appreciating the efforts to weed out the menace of Dengue, has assured Punjab government of its full support.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the PIAF Chairman Malik Tahir Javed asked all the businessmen to extend maximum cooperation to the government to make its efforts a complete success. He also urged them to arrange anti-Dengue sprays and ensure cleanliness in and around their business houses and industrial units.
He said that the business community would continue to support all the government measures aimed at controlling all types of environmental hazards and pollutions. He, however, appealed to the Chief Minister and the District Coordination Officer (DCO) to stop the officials of the concerned departments from sealing the business premises as it now only deprives industrial workers of their wages but the stoppage of productions incurs heavy losses to exchequer.
The business community believes that a strict action is the only solution to such problems but at first step a warning should be issued instead of sealing the entire premises, the PIAF Chairman concluded.
