Islamabad, March 06, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan greatly values its relations with Germany based on mutual trust and shared perceptions. The two countries are committed in contributing towards global peace, stability and Socio-Economic Development.
These views were expressed by Minister for Defence Syed Naveed Qamar after meeting with his German counterpart Dr. Thomas de Maiziere. German Defence Minister is on a two-day visit to Pakistan. During his visit important matters related to Defence will be discussed in detail.
The German Defence Minister during his visit will also meet Foreign Minister, Chairman Joint Chief and Chief of Army Staff.
Germany has always provided assistance to Pakistan in times of need. The two countries are committed to eradicate the menace of terrorism. Germany greatly acknowledges the contributions made by Pakistan in this regard. Both countries strongly feel that stable Afghanistan in the interest of the region at large.
The meeting also discussed the importance of high-level exchanges which can act as an effective tool in strengthening cooperation and chalking future roadmap between the two friendly nations.
The meeting ended on a high-note. Minister for Defence wished his German counterpart a happy stay in Pakistan while the German Defence Minister thanked Minister for Defence Syed Naveed Qamar for graciously hosting the delegates.
