Pakistan Day celebrated in Khartoum in a simple but dignified manner

Islamabad, March 23, 2017 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Day was celebrated in Khartoum in a simple but dignified manner. A good number of community members from al walks of life including businessmen international organizations, UNAMID, NGOs and notable Pakistanis attended the function with great affection and love. On the occasion, the Flag was hoisted by the Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Zahid Ali, preceded by the recitation of the Holy Quran, says a press release received from Khartoum here today.

Ambassador read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the day. While congratulating the Pakistani nationals based in Sudan, the Ambassador of Pakistan reiterated the slogan of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (father of the nation) that the nation has to remain stead fast for its peace prosperity and progress of Faith, Discipline and Unity.

On the cake cutting ceremony, he specially spoke with children on the importance of the day. A fabulous breakfast reception was organized by the Mission for the participants. The Ambassador urged the members of the Pakistani community to re-commit themselves on this historic day to divert all our energies towards the peace progress, develop, dignity and honour of Pakistan.

He emphasized that the vision and dreams of our forefathers could guide us on the path to make Pakistan a stronger and prosperous country, the ceremony ended with Dua for the peace, prosperity and progress of the beloved country Pakistan and 2nd home Sudan. Articles highlighting the occasion and Pakistan’s socio-economic achievements and progress in Pak-Sudan bilateral relations was contributed by the Ambassador to the local print and electronic media.
