Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation to air special programmes on death anniversary of Liaqat Ali Khan

Islamabad, October 15, 2012 (PPI-OT): Radio Pakistan will air special programmes to mark sixty first death anniversary of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan Quaid-i-Millat Liaqat Ali Khan‚ tomorrow (Tuesday).

Messages of the President and the Prime Minister will be aired in morning transmission. Radio Pakistan’s FM-93 network‚ in its programme “Apna Pakistan” at 09:05 a.m.‚ will broadcast a special report on “fateha Khawni” and recitation of the Holy Quran at the mausoleum of deceased leader from Karachi. PBC will also air statements of Liaqat Ali Khan recorded moments before his assassination and sound bites of firing at “Liaqat Bagh” Rawalpindi.

A documentary titled “Quaid-i-Millat and Freedom Movement” will also be put on air on national hookup at 04:32 p.m. Liaqat Ali Khan was assassinated on October 16‚ 1951‚ in Rawalpindi.
