Pakistan Army Cricket XI Team defeat British Army Cricket XI Team by 125 runs

Rawalpindi, November 06, 2012 (PPI-OT): Pak Army Cricket XI team won the toss and elected to bat first. Major Babar Nawaz played a marvellous inning of 91 runs with Naik Mir Azam who scored 88 runs. Chasing the big total of 323, UK Army Cricket XI team was all out for 198 runs in 33.4 overs. In UK Army Cricket XI innings, Daniel Web and Govendar were the top scorer with 60 and 34 runs respectively.

A large number of people from all walks of life, representative from British Embassy including Brigadier James Illingwroth, President British Army Cricket Association and other cricket lovers enthusiastically watched the match. Match was played in a highly festive mood. Music played on the tunes of army band added flavor to the match.

Lieutenant General Azhar Rasheed, Surgeon General, who was the chief guest at the occasion, awarded the Man of the Match award to Naik Moen Sabir. He got 5 wickets for 23 runs in 5.4 overs.
