Pakistan and International Monetary Fund talks continue

Dubai, February 03, 2015 (PPI-OT): Pak-IMF delegation level talks for the USD 550 million tranche to Pakistan continued here for the second consecutive day here Tuesday with Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar leading the Pakistan side. Mr. Herald Finger, would-be successor of Mr. Jeffrey Franks, as IMF Mission chief to Pakistan, also joined the discussion today.

The Minister further briefed the IMF side on the economic profile of Pakistan and the measures the government had taken strengthening the country’s economic credentials. Secretary Finance, Dr. Waqar Masood, Governor State Bank, Ashraf Wathra, Addl. Secretary (EF), Shahid Mehmood, Chairman FBR, Tariq Bajwa, Economic Advisor, Ejaz Wasti and other senior officials are participating in the talks along with the Finance Minister.
