Lahore, October 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): Pakistan and China’s friendship has entered into new spheres of trade and investment where it is necessary to take concrete measures in order to fill in the communication gap between the two nations. It was stated by Mr. Shah Faisal Afridi, President Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the concluding session of the Chinese language class that completed its first level.
The class was initiated by Pak China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry in June and completed its first level this month. People from business community who joined the language class expressed that they appreciate the sincere efforts of Mr. Shah Faisal Afridi, president PCJCCI who has always been very devoted in bridging gaps between China and Pakistan.
Participants of the Chinese language class requested to continue this class as regular feature of the PCJCCI to which Mr. Faisal acceded to. Faisal Afridi said that, our business Entrepreneurs while interacting with Chinese people had to hire Interpreters to communicate.
Whereas, it is observed that interpreters often fail to convey the desired message that seriously impede the business dealings and interactions, therefore when both countries are coming closer at a faster pace, the communication barriers should also be trounced, added Afridi.
On the concluding session of the class Mr. Xiao Xingkui, Vice President of Yantai Chamber of Commerce and industry, distributed souvenirs that he especially brought from China. He also held an Interactive session with the participants of the class and showed great pleasure in the keen interest of participants for learning Chinese Language.
Mr. Xiao Xingkui congratulated PCJCCI for completing first level of Language course and hoped that Pakistan could enhance trade and investment relations with China up to optimal level by breaking the language barrier. He said that the Chinese language course initiated by PCJCCI has proved to be a strong foundation in this respect.
Shah Faisal Afridi also thanked Mr.Muhammad Azam,a Qualified language Instructor from BLC university, Beijing ,for sparing his valuable time for teaching Chinese language in a very efficient and friendly way.
Mr. Muhammad Azam, said that, “Teaching language is a big reward for me, as it engages me to use my full creative potential”. Choosing this path is not just about teaching vocabulary and pronunciation, it requires the commitment to developing real cultural awareness added Mr. Muhammad Azam, the Chinese language instructor.
The participants of the class expressed that the instructor has taught language in a short time with efficient methods such as Audio Lingual Method that involves recognition of Sentence and sound patterns, The Silent Way, that encourages student interaction rather than teacher and through Content-based, Task-based, and Participatory Approaches.
